Choosing a Mobility Scooter

There is a wide choice of mobility scooters available. How can you be reassured that you choose the right scooter for your needs?

Do your research so that you know you are not being ‘taken for a ride’. The price of Mobility Scooters is readily available on the internet and guide prices should be available by telephone from local suppliers. Extras may apply for baskets, spare batteries, rainproof clothing, etc.

Smaller models are more manoeuvrable in shopping centres and homes, some models will fold into the boot of a car for holidays or visiting. If you are quite heavy, choose a model that is compatible with your weight.

If your journeys on your scooter are likely to be long and perhaps hilly, for example, if your nearest village is a couple of miles away, a larger more powerful scooter may be advised.
